I've been waiting so hard that, rather than doing any industry the last two weeks, I've been trying to cobble together my own clumsy IPH replacement. Unfortunately, I don't really grok the VB, so I've started from scratch on Android instead.
Disclaimer: The above is not meant to imply, in any way at all, that I "grok the Android" either. |

Or take up the project themselves. The code's on SourceForge. |

If I'm going to play spreadsheets-in-space then pretty numbers make it much more enjoyable. And Zif's software beats mine hands down in that respect!
I know what you mean. I used Android here, but not the pretty kind. I've violated so many best-practices when cobbling it together... It's a monstrosity. |

I've not been able to use your IPH calculator yet as it is broken, but I can already tell that it's the best tool I've ever laid eyes on. I sure hope I get to use it soon. Is there any chance you could commit what you have so far as a sort of beta version even if some features don't work yet?
You could even release it on the dubious premise of "Early Access: Do not buy this game unless you like playing utterly broken garbage and torturing hikers" and charge good money for it.
If not, that's fine too. Keep up the good work!
Warmest regards,

You can find all the latest code at SourceForge. If you want to try using the program as-is, just download it and compile.
... You do still have to compile VB, right? |

I'm getting some pretty huge errors when trying to build multiples of an item from raw mats. It seems to be related to R.A.M. modules.
For example, Mining Foreman Burst II. IPH believes that it takes 102 isogen to build a single unit of Mining Foreman Burst I, and 74 isogen for the R.A.M. When I view the shopping list for a single T2 Burst module, it correctly says I need 176 Isogen. Building more than one item, though, it only adds 102 isogen per unit. It's not multiplying the R.A.M. materials at all.
On the Components side of the screen, it correctly believes that I need 10 RAMs to build 10 modules.
The Shopping List reduces the mineral requirements by the appropriate amount when I remove the RAM modules (I still have tens of thousands of the things lying around) either through the "Update from Assets" button or just by deleting the RAM from the build list. But since the mineral count wasn't accurate to begin with, it results in isogen and nocxium being removed entirely even though they are required for build items still in the list. |
